My Garden Splendor

My Garden Splendor

black tipped golden wings

just a fluttering summer

spontaneous dinner guest

spending a fleeting moment

sipping on nectar soup

the blue plate special

from a salmon pink zinnia

in my garden of splendor

to which I find myself

honored to have her

as my dinner guest.

Symphony at Dusk

Symphony at Dusk, —©g.a.meeder, 2019®

                                                               Symphony at Dusk

the sun lays her head

upon broad earthly shoulders

as the night maestro

ushers in the starry notes

grazioso for our eyes

For John Coyote with love & respect

for understanding.

May you find your peace.

on tiptoe we walked
as the breaking sun rays burst
forth opening up
a lush green cathedral of
redwoods chanting hymns for us.

Eyes in The Clouds

I took this photo the other day while we were on the back roads of Ohio…Amish country back roads. Discovered the eyes in the clouds as I perused my camera roll…And whatever you may believe or not believe this photo made me think of this old song from Steve Warnier…

Best Of Days

Pine Tree Haven

Best of days

golden sun will lower her gaze

behind blushing stratus laced clouds

over seasonally timed

dramatic displays of sunsets

guiding us arise to kinder days

which will cast shadows

on trees that genuflect awe

in earthly praise

uttering murmurs as they wave

with chilled to a crisp night air

lightly stroking our cheeks

with secrets they can no longer keep

because soon they will play a concerto

of colors in high sopranos, in low altos

brushstroking themselves

with colors ablaze

giving us the promise of

our best of days.

Out For A Spin

Out For A Spin

up a hill brimmed hats

bounce in the sun drenched bridge of

green leaved shaded trees

a young boy spins round to see

who’s that, follows behind me?

Steal Away

Fresno, Ohio

Steal Away

shall we stop at the

crossroads of our journey on

this planet we tread

stealing a moment away

just to catch our thoughts and breath?

if ever there were

a time on the pages

of life where we could

re-write, edit, change

it would be in these

times of the present

where we would most

assuredly have

kinder ends…

Eye Candy

Beside the Ohio-Kanawha Rivers

—©g.a.meeder, 2016®

Eye Candy

nature’s eye candy

for winter weary bluesy souls

out on an easy breezy

sunday afternoon stroll

circle of life finally makes her rounds

budding and sprouting

shouting through colors

blossoming as they

take the reins from earth

blissfully in full control…

Flight of Fancy

Flight of Fancy

the sky was a stroke

of artistic genius from

baby blues with white

wispy cotton clouds that

found me daydreaming of

flying freely without you.
