Where Is Our Leader?

Where Is Our Leader?

Sitting in a bunker
upon his golden shitter
furiously typing out
nasties on twitter
inside the whitest house ever
built on the backs
of those he looks
upon as squatters
scared like the bigliest
white granddragon rat
of an ever growing
white supremacy litter.

Pearls of Wisdom

“We must allow one another to find hope wherever they can find it. Lest we become hypocritical thieves who will bear the burden
of dimming their light.”

Six Cow Pile-up on Pasture Hill

Six Cow Pile-up on Pasture Hill

nestled between two lofty pines

lay red and white

black and white

brown and tan

rump roast beauty queens

snorting sharp wisps

of white winter breath

an impestuous rooster’s cacklings

interjects background noise

as the six cow pile up on pasture hill

doesn’t budge an inch

resting on leftovers of clover and timothy hay scraps

that didn’t quite meet their culinary palettes

but by late afternoon’s fading sun

will become a mulled over snack

my ladies of leisure

just below my kitchen window

out beyond the clothesline

brings about a stark admission

of just how much

I had come to miss this…

Below are my six lovely rump roast queens:

“Sweet Pea, Vaderess, Fawn, Snowflake, Beauty, Shawnee”

Letdown

Letdown

i watched from afar

as your disease knocked the wind

out of your sails

in angst I secretly prayed

that there would be

a god to heal you.

Dawn of Truth

Dawn of Truth

The splish splash lull of soapy dishwater

pulled her in as her sponge

spun around the bowl’s rim

two small business setbacks

and all those dishes she’d scrubbed

through thick and thin

pondering why is life always sink or swim?

The Vicious Cycle (The Broken Back Workers Plight)

The Vicious Cycle

(The Broken Back Workers Plight)

strange where poverty leads us

the captain of unwilling vessels

steering us into false mantras

where we are told to dream

reach for those lofty stars

that if we work hard enough

we can get there

with these hands, these feet

this mind, the people we meet

but life throws so many punches

slim curves, kicks in the crotch

that it leaves black as night holes

in our misdirected souls

whereupon we once again

find ourselves back in that place

we’d hoped to have escaped.

“Spinning my wheels gettin nowhere fast!”

The most commonly used & stated

“pearl of wisdom”

from all the truck driver’s

that I came to know & love in my life.

Sanctuary

Sanctuary

on tiptoe we walked
as the breaking sun rays burst
forth opening up
a lush green cathedral of
redwoods chanting hymns for us.

Your Memoir

Your Memoir

wrinkles sprinkle life and

your passionate search for it

boldly written in novellas of

experience sketched across your face

softly speaking you are loved

so for that reason alone

they should never be erased

your face has become a memoir

a bestseller, of mammoth proportion

to be cherished and treasured.

leaving me with a burning desire

to read you over and over again.

Crushed

Crushed

crushed to say the least
since you searched
hunted up for me
as if you would die
without seeing
me once again
eye to eye
only to hurry up
and say hello
just to say goodbye
who does that?
other than an ego
that derives pleasure
to watch me
slowly turn away
and once more
die inside…

Pack Of Lies

Pack of Lies

i had written the book

cover to cover on

the philosophy

with enough hard work in life

you could achieve anything

but it’s high time

to close that damned book

on American dreams

toss that poorly written

over rehearsed book

into that heap known as

file thirteen

because it’s nothing

but a pack of damned lies

and who would know

the storyline better

than the author

who never once

saw it come true

before her very eyes?
